Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Azury PC, a trading name of Azury Digital & Tech Solutions Ltd ("we", "us"), collects, uses and protects your personal data - including the data on any computer you bring to us - and your rights under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
1. Who we are
Azury Digital & Tech Solutions Ltd is a company registered in England & Wales (company number 13446812). Our registered office is 23a The Precinct, London Road, Waterlooville, PO7 7DT. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under reference ZC188926. You can contact us about privacy at info@azurypc.co.uk.
2. What we collect
- Contact details you give us - name, phone number, email address, and where you are - when you enquire, book a repair or order a build.
- Details of the job - the make and model of your machine, the fault you describe, the work we do and the parts we fit. We keep this as our job record.
- Payment records - what was charged and how it was paid. If you pay by card through a payment provider, that provider handles your card details; we never see or store your full card number.
- Data on your device - see section 4.
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. The contact form sends what you type to us by email and keeps a copy in our own enquiry records so that nothing is lost; it goes nowhere else.
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To carry out the repair, build or setup you have asked for - performance of a contract.
- To respond to enquiries and quotes - legitimate interests.
- To keep proper business, accounting and warranty records - legal obligation and contract.
- To let you know about something relevant later (for example a recall on a part we fitted) - legitimate interests. We do not send marketing unless you have asked for it, and you can opt out at any time.
4. The data on your computer
When you hand us a computer, it usually contains your personal files. Our rules are simple:
- We access only what we need to in order to diagnose and fix the fault, or to do the work you have asked for.
- We do not copy, browse or keep your files unless you have asked us to back them up, move them to a new machine or recover them.
- Where you ask us to make a copy for a backup, migration or recovery, we keep it only until you have confirmed the data is safely back with you, then delete it securely.
- If we need your password to do the work, we ask you to change it afterwards.
- We do not sell, share or upload your files anywhere, and no one outside the business sees them.
Drives can fail during a repair through nobody's fault. We take care, but please keep your own backup of anything important where you can - and tell us if you cannot, so we can back it up first.
4a. Charlie, the chat assistant
"Charlie", the chat assistant on this site, is an automated assistant, not a person. What you type into it is sent, together with our own troubleshooting notes, to Anthropic's Claude service to generate the reply; Anthropic does not use it to train its models, and we do not store the conversation - it stays in your browser tab and is gone when you close it. We only count how many messages are sent each day so the service cannot be abused. Please do not type passwords, card details or other personal information into it. If you choose "Book a repair with this chat", a short summary of the conversation is placed into the enquiry form for you to read and send; only then does it come to us.
5. Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We share only what is needed with a small number of suppliers to do the job: parts suppliers or manufacturers when a warranty claim is made on a part we fitted, a courier when we ship a build to you, a payment provider if you pay by card, and Anthropic for Charlie, the chat assistant, as described in section 4a. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
6. Where it is stored and how it is protected
Our job records are kept in the UK, in systems protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication, and backed up. Any data copied from your device for a backup or migration is kept on encrypted storage in the workshop, not in the cloud, and only for as long as section 4 describes.
7. How long we keep it
We keep job records and invoices for six years to meet our accounting and tax obligations and to honour warranties. Enquiries that do not become a job are deleted within twelve months. Copies of your files (section 4) are deleted as soon as you confirm the data is back with you.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability. Email info@azurypc.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
9. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
