Charlie is our free troubleshooting assistant for Windows PCs, laptops and Macs. It asks the questions we would ask, walks you through the checks you can safely do at home, and tells you plainly when it is time to bring the machine in.
How it works
Say what the machine is doing, in your own words. Charlie asks one question at a time, suggests a step, and remembers what you have tried. Paste a report saved from SpecCore and it will read the findings for you.
When something looks like a hardware fault, a failing drive or a scam, it stops and hands over. The "Book a repair with this chat" button sends a summary of the conversation into our enquiry form, so you do not have to explain it twice.
What Charlie will not do
- Suggest anything that risks your files without a backup first
- Quote prices - every job is quoted by a person
- Help with phones, tablets or consoles
- Ask for passwords or personal details
